It is with the deepest regret that Epsom Hospital Radio has to announce the passing of one of our longest serving members, George Holland. He has been struggling with cancer for some time but his condition slowly deteriorated over the last few months and he passed away quietly on Friday 22nd October around 9.00 a.m. 

George joined Epsom Hospital Radio in September 1997 and will be remembered for his friendly, helpful and cheery attitude, smiling face and sense of humour. He has been responsible for introducing and training several of our presenters and in 2019 became our secretary, a role which we know gave him much enjoyment. 

As well as a deep love of music, particularly unusual songs and football anthems, he was also a Dr. Who fan and a football fanatic, having been a Chelsea supporter since his school days. He also took a great interest in non League football, particularly Banstead Athletic and Epsom and Ewell, for whom he was press secretary for a number of years.   

His is survived by his sister Margaret, to whom we send our condolences and deepest sympathy in what has already been a very difficult year for her. George will be missed by us all.
