Weird & wonderful talents?
Not a bad snowboarder. Used to be able to name the Number 1 record on the day someone was born. Out of practice now and Google on phones has rendered that party trick redundant!
Most treasured belongings?
Family and friends’ photos before the digital age made it far too easy to capture a special moment. Collection of football shirts going back 40 years.
Favourite smell?
Having been born on 5th November the smell of bonfires and fireworks have always intrigued me.
What was the Number 1 single on the day you were born?
Maggie May Rod Stewart. A week or two later it was Ernie by Benny Hill...Lucky me!
What record drives you mad when you hear it?
Most irritating record is the theme from Friends by the Rembrandts. Can’t stand the show and the opening of the song still drives me nuts when I hear it now.
What is your favourite album?
Either the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack (terrible film, great album) or Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Have you met anyone famous and if so, under what circumstances?
I met a few footballers both past and present when I was part of Sky Sports Monday Night Football in the naughties. Some more charming than others!
Very briefly taught a young Wayne Rooney aged 11 at a Primary School in Liverpool. He won’t remember me!
Who is your favourite radio presenter?
Alan Freeman is my radio hero. There aren’t many DJs that you preferred listening to the voice rather than the music. Impeccable timing, topping and tailing the tracks on Pick of the Pops.
Favourite current presenter... Mark Chapman on 5live. Doesn’t try too hard and always asks the right question.
Apart from your current partner, who would be your ideal dinner date and why?
The Queen. A no holds barred chat!
If you were marooned on a desert island, what would be the items you'd need most?
Got to be my bed! And a wind-up radio.
